Maude on DVD… someday

Written by

on

Here is the first proof that we will get Maude on DVD!! However, in the article, it’s very vague, and no release date set… but at least someone is getting their act together on this. Every time I go to Best Buy and look at the DVDs, I see so much crap and always think to myself, “how the hell is Maude not released on DVD yet!” Well, we are now getting closer!

I personally think “Maude” is the funniest sitcom EVER. I have a number of them taped off TVLand, but I want the real deal; DVD sets with unedited episodes. Can’t wait for the 2006 release of “Maude”. I will buy it immediately. Love Bea Arthur!

This is (hopefully) a wish come true. I LOVE that sitcom, and every other Norman Lear production is out, except Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, so why not Maude. I was fortunate to record seasons 1 and 2 off On Demand a couple of years back and I guard those tapes with my life! I would love to have the complete series on DVD. I haven’t seen the later seasons since they were on syndication when I was 6 years old.

Believe it or not, I’m watching Maude right now – the episode where Mrs. Naugatuk treats Walter like a king and tells Maude that women are meant to “serve” men – thank goodness I have two tapes of the On Demand reruns! When anyone hears more about the dvd’s, I’d appreciate someone letting me know at fongoolandfanabola@yahoo.com. Thanks!
